Though a billion hearts in the nation are praying for Sachin Tendulkar's 100th international ton, not many from across the world are for it.NewsX has learnt that betting houses, especially Ladbrokes, are getting loads of bets on the Master Blaster retiring without reaching that magnificent milestone. My colleague Nabanita Sircar caught up with Ladbrokes' senior pro Alex Donahue.

Australian Cricket team were slated to tour India in 1998-99 for a 3 test match and a tri-series. Although the Australians came in with many legends like Steve waugh, Mark taylor, Mark waugh, Ian healy but still there was this one guy in their ranks who had set ripples in the cricketing arena that was shane warne, why u may ask? remember the 1993-94 ashes series the ball(leg break)he bowled to get mike gatting out which later came to be known as the monster leg break.Although our team was always known to be good against the spinners but still this guy shane warne had it in him to bamboozle the indians in front of their home ground.
Prior to the test series australians were scheduled to play a warm up game against mumbai ranji trpohy team at brabournE STADIUM IN MUMBAI KNOW ALSO KNOWN AS THE CRICKET CLUB OF INDIA.Sachin ramesh tendulkar the indian genius was to feature in that game for mumbai.
He knew the threat which warne could pose and hence some 1 month before the australians arrived here he send an sos to laxman shivaramakrishnan the former indian leg spinner turned cricket commentator.Sachin arranged a business class flight fror him from chennai to mumbai so that he could practice against various kinds of leg spinners(Shivarama was a good exponent of the flipper and googly). Sachin used to practice with him for nearly 5-6 hours daily in the mumbai heat for around 20 days before shane warne and his team arrived here. Well they say patience is the key to success and god helps those,those who help themselves" and so it was .

Sachin Tendulkar will be showered with 100 gold coins by the Mumbai Cricket Association if he completes his much-awaited 100th international century during the third and final Test match between India and West Indies commencing November 22 at the Wankhede Stadium here.
“MCA President Vilasrao Deshmukh has decided that the association should give Tendulkar a 100 gold coins if he completed the 100th international century at his home ground,” Nitin Dalal, joint secretary of MCA, said on Saturday.
However, Tendulkar could not reach the coveted landmark in Kolkata and has the chance to achieve it in Mumbai.
